A game-based project exploring vision through the lens of eye conditions

This project began as a way to show how I experience the world as a 3D artist living with advanced bilateral keratoconus. It simulates my sight inside a game environment, giving players an opportunity to step into my perspective.

But it doesn’t stop there. The project is growing into a wider tool to help people understand the impact of different eye conditions, from blurred or distorted vision to loss of focus or depth perception.

Why This Matters

Accessibility in games isn’t just about options on a menu — it’s about empathy and understanding. By helping others see through my eyes, I hope to:

  • Raise awareness of visual impairments

  • Encourage more inclusive design choices

  • Spark conversation about accessibility in games and beyond

Work in Progress

This is an evolving project. Right now, it focuses on simulating advanced bilateral keratoconus, but future updates will include other eye conditions, giving an even broader look at how vision differences shape player experience.

I’ll be sharing progress, updates, and insights as the project develops.
